Every time I count the cost, I make a decision to matter for the kingdom, and that to me is the sweetest thing I’ve ever experienced.

I would no longer think that my achievements in school, tennis, and friendships define who I was. Now I see these things as means or opportunities to invite people to know who God is, as my friend did with me.

I learned how to trust God with everything, not just with the things that made sense, but also the things that seem like nothing and the ones that seem like everything.

Apprenticeship is gaining the heart of a shepherd and sharing whatever God has shown you. I felt so ill-equipped and nervous about all the things I didn’t know, but God took what I did know and used it.

I grew weary of going to church and being in fellowship because my fear would get the best of me every time. Little did I know that my love for the world and sin was what was separating me from having genuine fellowship and a relationship with God.
